Pope Francis plans Apr revisit to Egypt

Pope Francis will revisit Egypt in late April, reflecting softened Vatican-Muslim discourse after years of tragedy that grown during the prior papacy of Benedict XVI.

The Vatican pronounced Saturday that sum of the Apr 28-29 outing will be announced soon.

In Egypt, presidential orator Alaa Youssef pronounced the revisit to the infancy Muslim republic comes in response to an invitation from President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi, who met Francis when he visited the Vatican in late 2014.
