A man has been accused of punching his mum, almost satirical off her ride and environment her residence on fire after they got into an argument. 

Damen Stephens was arrested on Monday following a two-day police manhunt after he allegedly punched and choked his 66-year-old mother.

Police contend the lady suffered flourishing and bruising to her physique and is now ‘extremely fearful’ of her 43-year-old son.

Neighbours contend Mr Stephens and his mom got into a exhilarated evidence on Friday dusk before he returned to the home after that night and began outstanding her windows.

According to justice documents, Stephens caused $400,000 worth of repairs to his mother’s residence after environment it on fire in the early hours of Saturday.

By the time police arrived, the residence was broken and Stephens was nowhere to be seen.

Later the next day, Stephens was allegedly celebration at a bar when he incidentally stabbed two strangers, a 44-year-old and 29-year-old.

Police contend he tried to gash one of his victims in the chest and back with a vast kitchen knife, with the man pang a gash wound to his arm and to the left of his chest, hip and back.

A crony of the victim who tried to meddle was also stabbed on his arm when the accused incited on him, prosecutors say.

Stephens has been charged with 18 offences including arson, stalking, intentionally and fast causing injury, and attack with a weapon.

He has pleaded guilty to at slightest some of the charges and was remanded in control to reappear in justice on Feb 12 next year.
