It turns out there is such a thing as double bananas – and this man has proof.
Richard Preece, 33, found the intensely singular fruit in a garland of bananas he had bought in his weekly shop in Asda.
The father-of-three – who has finished gift fun runs dressed as Bananaman – was a little repelled at the weird discovery.
His wife, Samantha, said: ‘It is the many weird coincidence.
‘It was just in a garland of typical bananas so it was a bit of a shock.
‘When Sam non-stop it up zero of us could utterly trust it. we never even knew that you could get double bananas.
‘I showed my kids and they were utterly vacant as they had never seen anything like it before.
‘When we put it on Facebook we wasn’t awaiting the greeting that we got with the volume of innuendos and other implications people were commenting.’
In case you were wondering, the double banana tasted no opposite to an typical one, according to children Beatrice, nine, and Felix, six.
‘I suspicion my days using as a Bananaman were prolonged behind me, but this has changed things,’ Richard said.
‘This find has assured me that we should really consider doing it again this year.
‘It’s just too bizarre not to be some arrange of sign.’
