A man who certified raping a 12-year-old girl when he was 16 has been spared jail.
Charlie Flinders, 18, of South Street, Rotherham, was handed a two year jail sentence, dangling for two years.
He seemed before Sheffield Crown Court currently for judgment after pleading guilty to raping the immature girl at a probity conference in December.
The probity listened Flinders knew the girl, who can't be named for authorised reasons, was underage but done passionate hit with her around a series of texts.
Detective Sergeant Gareth Gent said: ‘Flinders sent sexually inapt messages to a child, meaningful she was underage and that his actions were against the law.
‘Our enquiries unclosed justification of Flinders being in passionate communication with his victim around the time of the crime.
‘This culminated in the rape of a child and this sentencing means he will now accept the suitable monitoring and reconstruction – should he re-offend he faces going to prison.
‘His rapist poise has positively contributed to the impact on his victim’s life.’
The rape happened in Rotherham in 2015.
DS Gent added: ‘Child passionate abuse can have a harmful outcome on its victims and we wish that this immature girl is now means to pierce forwards in her liberation with the believe that her abuser has been brought to justice.
‘If anyone out there is pang passionate abuse or exploitation, or if you have concerns for a child, greatfully hit the police.’
