A former Manchester City player has been found not guilty by a jury of raping a 19-year-old lady in Cleethorpes.
Prosecutors accused George Glendon, 22, of sexually aggressive the ‘extremely drunk’ 19-year-old nearby the strand review in early 2016.

But the jury at Grimsby Crown Court concluded with his counterclaim group who argued the purported victim gave ‘unreliable’ justification which was ‘a million miles away’ from proof him guilty.
The 9 women and 3 men of the jury took just over half-an-hour to clear Glendon, of Outwood Drive, Cheadle, of rape.
Mr Glendon told the justice the lady had been ‘quite drunk’ and their after passionate confront lasted ‘around 5 seconds’.
He also denied watchful outward a nightclub called The Lite House so he could collect up the girl for sex and claimed he helped her as he was worried about her safety.
The charge claimed the lady was so dipsomaniac she was ‘falling over’ and was ‘incapable of stringing a judgment together’.
And it was claimed she could not remember what happened to her detached from that she finished up in a man’s bedroom with her dress off.
Mr Glendon said: ‘I went upstairs. She went upstairs. She went up before me.
‘I get up the stairs and she is in the room where we was meant to be staying. She was in the bed. She was under the covers. we seen her dress on the floor. She had already taken it off before we got in. we didn’t help.’
‘She was enlivening it. She took the first pierce by kissing me and we was kissing her back. Her physique was moving. She seemed like she was enjoying it. She tries to get on top of me while we lift on kissing. She pulled my jeans down so they are off.’
He also told the justice she instigated the passionate encounter.
Defence attorney Judy Khan QC had told the jury Mr Glendon’s detain was ‘the start of a calamity for him’ which would finish if they found him not guilty.
Midfielder Glendon assimilated Manchester City as a girl player in 2013 and left in 2016 to play for Fleetwood Town FC.
