Mardi Gras parade-goers were angry after they were given blackface figurines they deemed descent during the festivities Saturday.
New Orleans proprietor Carmen Cousin pronounced she was repelled when a person on a boyant at the Krewe of Endymion impetus gave her 4-year-old son two porcelain figurines that were burble wrapped.
“I was just totally perplexed,” she told WWL-TV. “I didn’t know what to think!”
Rene Bond’s crony was also handed a figurine at the parade.

“Those were designed to make African American people and slaves sub-human,” she told the TV station. “That was what they noticed us as. That’s what they suspicion we were and that’s all we were good for, was being servants and ugly.”
Gregory Hawkins was trying to know the definition behind the package but then fast became upset.
“I was acid my mind for like, an explanation. we suspicion maybe they were salt shakers or something,” he told WWL-TV. “Or that this was some arrange of ancestral thing for the Endymion organisation specifically.”
Krewe of Endymion didn’t criticism on the situation. The incidents come as thousands of revelers poured by the streets of New Orleans to applaud the 300th anniversary of Louisiana’s pier city.
