Police on Sunday arrested a couple at their home in Perris, California, after their 17-year-old daughter transient and called 911, informing authorities that she and her 12 siblings were being held serf by their parents, according to an occurrence report expelled by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Police pronounced they found some of the children intensely malnourished and shackled to their beds by bondage and padlocks. The 17-year-old reportedly transient by a window and used a cellphone taken from inside the residence to call police. She was so svelte that she looked as if she was 10 years old, police said.
The parents, David and Louise Turpin, were “unable to immediately yield a judicious reason because their children were calm in that manner,” police added.
