Seventeen members of the notoriously aroused MS-13 were indicted Thursday on murder, drug and swindling charges for a operation of purported crimes on Long Island, authorities said.
Authorities pinned a series of killings and disappearances on the squad that have had officials combing wooded areas and parks in new months in hunt of justification and human remains.
“These indictments strike a complicated blow to the gang’s operations on Long Island,” pronounced Nassau County DA Madeline Singas.
“These purported squad members have terrorized exposed immigrant communities, trafficked lethal heroin into the neighborhoods, and this bloc of some-more than 22 agencies national will continue to be harsh in the efforts to idle MS-13.
What began as a internal drug review suggested a cruel MS-13 operation as brutal as any opposite the country, where rivals were murdered, as were unfriendly members who cooperated with law coercion or tried to leave the gang.
Two of the suspects were indicted in tie with the murder of Angel Soler, 16, of Roosevelt, whose lame physique was found Oct. 19 in remote woods nearby the Southern State Parkway, where concrete was poured over his body.
Soler was killed with a machete and concrete was poured over his body, authorities said.
President Trump has mostly cited MS-13 activity in his query for immigration reform.
