Over the past few weeks, a spate of high street bondage has jumped aboard the plant-based train.
We’ve had McDonald’s rising a vegan burger. Wagamama announcing a new vegan menu. The Diner charity greasy American plant-based grub.
What a time for non-meat eaters to be alive!
And Carluccio’s is now the latest eatery to recognize the energy of the immature pound.
They’ve just announced that they’re opening their first ever exclusively vegetarian pop-up, with copiousness of vegan options, in partnership with food blogger Anna Barnett.
@carluccios sets up a vegan pop-up featuring some-more than 20 Italian veggie and vegan dishes. Dubbed Cucina Verde, the grill will open Monday, Oct 23 on the first building of Carluccio’s flagship grill on Covent Garden’s Garrick Street. #food #london #coventgarden #londonpopup #londonpopupeatery #eatery #foodie #londonfoodie #vegan #londonvegan #vegetarian #veganfood #vegetarianfood #italian #carluccios #news #vegannews

From 23 October, the Covent Garden bend will be transforming their first building into a plant-based bliss for 4 uninterrupted Mondays.
Cucina Verde is Carluccio’s Meat Free Monday charity and will symbol the attainment of the chain’s autumn/winter menu which facilities what they report as ‘one of the largest selections of vegan and vegetarian dishes of any national grill group’.
Carluccio’s lunch always equals the goat’s cheese and beetroot salad 💚

‘Vegetables are very critical in Italian food enlightenment and are mostly the stars of the show, it’s not odd for dishes to be exclusively plant-based,’ says Antonio Carluccio.
‘Our new Autumn Winter menu takes vegetables and creates them the categorical eventuality in many of Carluccio’s new dishes.’
So, what’s on offer?

For vegans, there’ll be things like crostini al funghi (sautéed mushrooms and kale in garlic and chilli on toasted ciabatta), as good as mains like vegan polpette di pane, featuring meatless bread balls of semi-dried tomatoes, garlic, capers and olives in tomato salsa on spaghetti.
And the veggie choices can be done vegan.
Spaces are singular so you’re suggested to book forward from tomorrow (13 October) online or by job the grill on 202 7836 0990, quoting ‘Cucina Verde’.
