If you suspicion stores had finally given up on adding some solitaire and tonic twists to gratifying treats, you were wrong.
Previously, we wrote about some teacakes that had been given the GT revamp. Now Aldi has one-upped them with some solitaire and tonic flavoured mince pies.
The super inexpensive supermarket is set to launch some Specially Selected Sloe Gin Mince Tarts next month.
The mince pies have been dubbed a ‘very worldly choice to the normal mince pie’.
While your customary mince cake is filled with mincemeat – a gratifying preference of fruits and spices – these mince pies have sloe solitaire combined into the mix, making them one ruin of a boozy dusk provide (or a lunchtime snack, if you’re feeling adventurous).
The pastry-covered pies come surfaced with flaked almonds for a honeyed finish, and they demeanour positively delicious.
The mince pies come in packs of six, and as you’d design from Aldi, are pretty labelled at just £2.29.
But before you get too excited, they’re not going to be accessible in stores until 14 Nov – just adequate time to get over Halloween to really start getting into the gratifying spirit.
