Paddy McGuinness’ wife Christine has suggested that their family home will not have a Christmas tree this year to help their twins, who have autism, cope.

‘I consider this is adequate for the Christmas decorations, I’m shaken about putting a tree up, we don’t consider I’m going too,’ Christine wrote on Instagram, pity a picture of 5 stockings – one for Mummy, Daddy, Penelope, Leo, and Felicity.

‘Last year was the many upsetting Christmas we’ve had, we had just been told the twins had autism and we felt very out of the depth. Christmas massively affects the twins behaviour,’ she added.

‘They were intensely concerned and unsettled. The Christmas lights, trees, decorations and music…it was all too much. It was very over sensitive and with so much change everywhere it was utterly frightening for the children who were flattering much non-verbal, they had no bargain of what was going on.’

Christine and Paddy, the horde of hit ITV dating show Take Me Out, suggested back in Jul that their twins,Leo and Penelope had been diagnosed with the lifelong developmental incapacity that affects how people know the universe and correlate with others.

Leo and Penelope were innate in 2013 after their relatives underwent years of struggling to conceive, and Christine suggested in the new Instagram post that she was left ‘devastated’ in 2016 when the kids woke up and walked past their presents, simply ignoring them.

‘I knew zero about autism then. Now I’m fuelled with believe on their condition and I’m really looking brazen to scheming them in allege to help them know the sorcery of Christmas!’ she continued.

‘I’m feeling assured we will have a happy Christmas this year.. With a lot reduction decorations!’

What is autism?
