Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ Is 2018’s Most Tweeted Movie: 5 Million Tweets And Counting

Fans’ tangible fad of Marvel’s Black Panther has transcended to the Twitterverse, with the film recently announced as the most-tweeted film for 2018.

The Chadwick Boseman-starrer garnered 5 million tweets, which says so much about people’s expectation about Black Panther. It is now the most-tweeted film for this year, followed by Star Wars: The Last Jedi, then Maze Runner: The Death Cure.

The hype is clearly heightened, with some-more and some-more fans articulate about the film in days heading to its premiere. Twitter has also taken a pierce to serve support Black Panther. It had enclosed emojis desirous by the characters of this Marvel film.

Black Panther, Shuri, Nakia, Killmonger, and Okoye now have their emojis which can be used with their particular hashtags. #WakandaForever and #BlackPantherLive also come with the Black Panther emoji.

The film, which is set to hit theaters on Friday, Feb. 16, has already been dubbed as the fastest film to sell pre-selling tickets by company Fandango. Black Panther had exceeded Hunger Games in 2012 and Beauty and the Beast in 2017. The numbers have been impressive, to contend the least, and Fandango likely that it could even transcend other superhero movies.

“It’s not just a superhero movie, it’s a ground-breaking informative event,” Fandango’s Erik Davis explained.

Davis combined that auspicious reviews are generally a big cause that can build up the excitement. A curtsy to that is the new 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Indeed, many film critics have lauded the rarely expected Marvel film. Independent’s Geoffrey Macnab praised the executive for a film that stirs a supportive issue while producing a very interesting masterpiece at the same time.

The film is also seen to be reaching larger heights, with tracker service provider NRG envisioning a $165 million President’s Day weekend opening. Initially, the company likely the domestic opening to assemble $125 million.

The film talks about T’Challa who went home from Captain America: Civil War. He is set to be the aristocrat of Wakanda, but things won’t go as designed after a former nemesis done his participation felt. T’Challa, who is also Black Panther, must face a problem that could put the universe in a vicious situation.

Black Panther is destined by Ryan Coogler, who was also the smarts behind 2015’s Creed and 2013’s Fruitvale Station. The star-studded expel embody Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, and Martin Freeman, among many others.
