Days after “Beauty and the Beast” non-stop in Kuwait, censors pulled the Disney reconstitute from theaters.
The live-action film, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the eponymous beast, has faced critique for what executive Bill Condon called an “exclusively happy moment” with LeFou, played by Josh Gad.
People in Kuwait with tickets to see the film Monday perceived messages from the National Cimena Company that the screenings had been canceled for “unforeseen difficulties.”
They were betrothed full refunds for their canceled tickets.
“We were requested to stop the screening and serve bury the film for things that were deemed descent by the Ministry of Information’s censorship department,” Duaij Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah, a house member at the National Cinema Company, said.
